Broken Body
by Chris Pitts
An exploration into the
darker side of the modern evangelical movement by a survivor
It's time to face up to the
fact that the wider church has in its members people who have
been hurt beyond endurance.
Chris Pitts fought
illiteracy and mental illness in order to free himself frpom a
Christian chuch that has left so many people broken and unable to
help themselves. He has spent a lifetime manoeuvring in the
modern evangelical movement and found it to be a very dangerous
place in many cases, especially among those of the lower regions
of the working class from whose ranks Chris is proud to have come.
The so-called revivalism of
the 60s, 70s and 80s left a lot of collateral damage. This book
was written for those people who were left helpless in a
spiritual wilderness.
